Activities at St. Paul's

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Adult Adult education is offered various times throughout the year, usually on Wednesday evenings during Advent and Lent.

Youth Sunday School is taught 3 out of 4 Sundays each month. The third Sunday of every month a family service is held. Innovative teaching methods, based on teachers' strengths and children's interests, are employed in the classroom. We are currently using the Godly Play curriculum for 3-year olds through second grade classes.  We have been very successful in involving our youngsters in the experience of Camp Wright, a local diocesan church camp.

CRIBBERY

The Cribbery is designed to supply an important need to people who sing in the choir, teach Sunday School or attend church service. One childcare worker is provides care for the children during the 10:30 a.m. service and are on duty at 10:15. Infants and children up to and including three years old are in this group.

USE OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

Various community groups are permitted to use St. Paul's Parish as a part of the parish's community service. These include Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Al-Anon, HA, RI-teen, NA CODA, and others on an occasional basis.

Our historic church and herb garden are frequently visited by house and garden pilgrimages, garden clubs, historical societies and nursing homes The herb garden is used by the Sunday School and community organizations as a source of learning about herb culture and craft.

ECUMENICAL AND INTERCHURCH ACTIVITY

We have consistently participated in community worship on Thanksgiving eve and at Easter sunrise.

St. Paul's has also been very active in the operation and administration of the Camp Wright/Diocesan Center, located on nearby Kent Island, and we look forward to continuing our close association in the future.
